He was active in sailing in
Odo Yacht Harbor from when he was in elementary
school till he graduated from the university.
After he entered into Hiyoshhi Sengyo (14), he
moved his home base in Wakayama. From age nine
through junior high school, he participated in
the European Games in the OP Dinghy class.
When he was in the high school, he mainly sailed by single hand (sea hopper,
and laser class), and he won the bronze medal at All Japan Games in Osaka
(Single Hand Junior Class) and the silver medal at All Japan Youth Games
(Laser Class). While he was in Fukuoka University, he won the individual
class championshipat All Japan Universiard Sailing Gamees in 2000 and 2001.
In 2004, he marked the second position in J24-Class at All Japan Games.
For J24-Class, he was ranked 2nd at All Japan Games in 2002, 3rd position
at Australian Games, and won the championship in NOOD Regatta (USA) in
2004.
Earlier this year, he joined the match race training as well as race viewing
in Denmark for four months. All his efforts enabled him to secure a position
to participate in the NIPPON CUP 2004 by winning the All Nippon Match Race
Tournament. |
