Additional Information:
Three years ago, in 1998, Andy won the title of the World Young Match Racer of the Year. In 1999 he won Bermuda Gold Cup (grade 1) and Cascadia Cup (grade 2). In 1997, Andy managed to fly from 374th place to 42nd place in the world rankings, which made him take sailing even more seriously.
Andy's father introduced him to sailing at the age of five, and he has climbed the sailing ladder in the traditional way, coming through dinghies before match racing. Andy is a graduate of the University of Southampton.
Andy worked in a marketing agency between 1995 and 1997, representing British Airways, Ford and the New Millennium Expiriency Company.
He also worked as a journalist, commentating during three regattas. |
